4x4 timing

IPC has revamped its 4x4 magazine. Great timing following energy minister Malcolm Wicks' comments earlier this week that the he wants to move against the "crass irresponsibility" of drivers of petrol-guzzling 4x4 vehicles.

Rather optimistically, Wicks said that there will come a time when it will be irresponsible for those 4x4s to be on sale. Just not any time soon, and a £200 road tax on such vehicles as a Land Rover Range Rover, which costs anything between £43,825 and £69,542, is unlikely to put anyone off.

The revamp of 4x4 Magazine gives readers a guide to the best places to take their 4x4 and of how far off-the-beaten track 4x4s can take you.

It's funny… it's as if no one at 4x4 Magazine knows the that the only place most people want to take their 4x4 is Chelsea. And I have no idea where they are going with the whole taking the 4x4 off-road thing. That's plain crazy talk. As every 4x4 owner knows there is nothing more mortifying that turning up on the school run and having mud on your 4x4. Just a thought.

The April issue of 4x4 Magazine is on sale March 3, priced £3.80. Posted by Picasa
